Gettin’ Better

Ginger's Jiu-Jitsu happiness level expressed through titles of songs from the '80s.
This is on a rainbow scale from red to blue.
I don’t know what comes after blue,
because I haven’t gotten there yet!

I had been trying to find just the right words to express how I’ve been feeling about my Jiu-Jitsu training lately, then this song came on my iPod. It really says it all!

Falling rain outside my window but all in all I know
It’s gettin’ better everyday
Soon the sun will shine through my window, when it’s gonna come
You know I really couldn’t say
Ah, but I know it’s gettin’ better everyday

I’m a hard working (wo)man, doing all that I can trying to make ends meet
Just making my way through this jungle today, it’s getting the best of me
But I know it’s gettin’ better and a change is gonna come my way
Yes, I know it’s gettin’ better, better everyday … Aha, yeah

Been a change in the scene if you know what I mean
Good things are coming my way
Now I’m living my life and I’m doing it right, sun shinin’ everyday
I can feel it gettin’ better and a change is gonna come my way
Yes, I feel it gettin’ better, better everyday … Yeah, yeah

Now, it’s only gettin’ better and a change has finally come my way
Yes, it’s only so much better
Oh, gettin’ better everyday … Yeah, oh yeah yeah yeah
Gettin’ better, oh everyday … I feel it, feel it, gettin’ better
It’s gettin’ better

I’m gettin’ better … I’m gettin’ better
